Dr Samuel is an educator and management professional who relocated from New Zealand to Australia with his family.

He has lived and worked in Perth and Melbourne, including a period travelling regularly between Perth for work and Melbourne, where his family is based. His experience highlights the real coordination involved in housing, transport, household budgeting, family arrangements and settlement.

These free resources are informed by that lived experience and his structured approach to planning. They do not substitute for professional legal, migration, financial or tax advice.

Across the Tasman – Dr Samuel was developed from first-hand experience of managing the many practical decisions involved in relocating from New Zealand to Australia. By combining personal relocation experience with a structured, research-informed approach, the website helps individuals and families organise essential arrangements — from household removals and accommodation to utilities, transport and living costs.

Our aim is to make the relocation process clearer, more manageable and better informed, through accessible resources and a practical step-by-step framework.

No. This website does not offer immigration assistance, recommend visas, assess eligibility or prepare applications. For immigration matters, refer to Home Affairs or an appropriately authorised professional.

Is the checklist tailored to my circumstances?

No. It is a general self-service preparation resource. Requirements differ by household, destination and the relevant rules at the time.

Can you help with renting, schooling or finances?

The site provides general planning information and official links. It does not offer licensed property agency services, personalised legal or tax advice, financial product recommendations or enrolment guarantees.

Are paid consultations available?

Not yet. The listed prices are our published rates for the planned packages. We welcome questions by email but are not accepting paid bookings or payments during the free-information stage. Availability will be announced after appropriate business and consumer safeguards are in place.
